The Reviews:
The reviews for Breadman TR520 were certainly mixed. They were all over the place with a pretty even number of 1 star, 5 star, and everything in between. The people that gave this machine a 5 star rating all said that they were able to get delicious bread consistently and without much trouble. One person even said “I never realized how easy it would be to use a bread machine and then we found this one.” The positive reviewers found the controls and LCD display easy to use and liked having a viewing window to be able to take a peek and check on their bread.
The people that gave this machine negative reviews have a number of issues. One person called it a lightweight, noisy, cheaply made piece of junk and claimed that it jumped all over the place when kneading the dough. Other people were not happy about the color choice for the controls with white lettering over a light beige background. Many people found this difficult to read. One of the negative reviewers said that this machine was great while it lasted but after nine months of use it would no longer make dough properly.
There were also quite a few reviews that were more in the middle. One reviewer called it “satisfactory for the money”. It gets the job done but not as well as some other machines. Another reviewer said that it made good bread but it’s not very flexible. There are no custom baking modes and a lot of people would have liked a pause feature on this machine.
After researching all of the reviews it seems like this is a decent bread machine at a decent price but there may be some better options available. Some machines will be a lot more expensive but there are some very good quality breadmakers that can be found at reasonable prices. I wouldn’t go so far to recommend that you do not buy this product but it would be wise to shop around and investigate some of your other options.
